Welcome to Ingenium Courses, an online course platform delivered through a mobile app and operated by ScottHYoung.com Services Ltd. By creating an account or using the Ingenium Courses platform, you agree to the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree, you should not use the platform.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Ingenium Courses. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction (for example, under 18 in many regions), you must have parental or legal guardian consent to use the platform. By registering an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these age requirements and, if a minor, that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. Ingenium Courses is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly provide services or collect personal information from such individuals.
To access courses and features on Ingenium Courses, you must create an account. Registration will require providing accurate personal information and a valid payment method. Your account is considered fully registered and active once any required payment is successfully processed. You agree to provide truthful, current, and complete information during sign-up and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, and you agree not to share your username or password with others. Any activity under your account is your responsibility. If you suspect unauthorized use of your account, you must notify us immediately.
Paid Courses: All courses on Ingenium Courses are paid offerings. You will gain access to course materials only after paying the required fees and registering an account. Each course purchase or subscription (if offered) grants you a personal, non-transferable license to access the content via your account.
Payments: Payments are processed through our app or website. All fees are listed in the applicable currency and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. If you sign up for a subscription or recurring payment plan, you will be billed according to the stated billing cycle. You must ensure your payment information is accurate and up-to-date to maintain access. Non-payment or failure to renew (if on a subscription) may result in suspension of course access.
Refunds: We want you to be satisfied with your learning experience. If you are unsatisfied with a course, you may be eligible for a refund under certain conditions (for example, if a refund policy is stated at purchase or required by law). Any refund requests must be made within the time frame specified by the course or platform (if applicable). Please note that refunds are granted at the discretion of Ingenium Courses, and some courses or promotions may be final sale. Except where required by law, partial completions of a course or change of mind may not be eligible for a refund. Check any course-specific terms at the time of purchase for additional refund details.
Ingenium Courses may allow users to contribute content, such as comments, discussion posts, project submissions, or other materials related to courses (“User Content”). By posting or uploading User Content, you affirm that you have the rights to do so and you grant Ingenium Courses a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the platform for the purpose of operating and promoting the service, including but not limited to marketing materials, social media platforms, and other promotional activities.
Content Standards: You agree that your User Content will not violate any law or infringe any rights (including intellectual property rights) of others. The following types of content are strictly prohibited on the platform:
Ingenium Courses reserves the right (but not the obligation) to moderate, remove, or disable any User Content that violates these standards or is otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion. Repeated violations by a user may result in suspension or termination of their account (see Section 9: Termination Policy). We are not responsible for User Content and do not endorse any opinion expressed by users. If you encounter content that violates these Terms, please report it to us.
All materials provided through Ingenium Courses — including but not limited to videos, lessons, text, graphics, code, and other instructional content — are the intellectual property of ScottHYoung.com Services Ltd. or its licensors. These course materials are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
By purchasing a course, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the course content for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. You may not:
All company names, logos, product names, and other trademarks displayed within Ingenium Courses are the property of their respective owners and may not be used without permission. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of intellectual property to you. Unauthorized use of Ingenium Courses content or trademarks is a breach of these Terms and may also violate copyright or trademark laws.
We strive to maintain a secure and fair learning environment. When using Ingenium Courses, you agree NOT to:
Violation of these or any other provisions of the Terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination (see Section 9). We reserve the right to take appropriate legal action for prohibited uses, including seeking damages and injunctive relief.
“As-Is” Basis: Ingenium Courses and all course content and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. ScottHYoung.com Services Ltd. makes no warranties or representations, either express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the courses or content provided. Use of the platform is at your own risk. We do not guarantee that by taking a course you will achieve any particular result, certification, skill level, or employment opportunity. Educational outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your own effort and background.
No Warranties: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties (express, implied or statutory) including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. While we strive to provide valuable content, we cannot guarantee the platform will meet all of your expectations or requirements.
Limitation of Liability: Under no circumstances shall ScottHYoung.com Services Ltd., its instructors, employees, or partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the platform or any content, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the platform or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the course(s) in question (if any) in the past six months. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of these limitations may not apply to you. In such cases, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
No Guarantee of Accuracy or Availability: We are not responsible if information made available on the platform is not accurate, complete, or current. The material on the platform is provided for general information and educational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for making decisions. Additionally, access to the platform may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We will make reasonable efforts to inform users of significant downtime, but we are not liable for any inconvenience or data loss that may result from these interruptions. Always keep backup copies of any important data or assignments you store on the platform.
Your privacy is important to us. Our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy is a separate document that governs how we handle your data, and by agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy. We encourage you to read the Privacy Policy carefully. If you have questions about how Ingenium Courses uses your personal information, please consult the Privacy Policy or contact our support team for more information.
Ingenium Courses reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any violation of these Terms or if we suspect any unauthorized, fraudulent, or unlawful activity. We may also terminate your access if required by law or due to discontinuation of the service. In the event of termination due to your violation of the Terms, you may lose access to any courses or content without entitlement to a refund of fees paid. We will attempt to provide notice of termination or suspension when feasible, but we may deactivate an account immediately if we determine it’s necessary to protect the interests of our platform, instructors, or other users.
You have the right to stop using your account and the platform at any time. You may delete your account or request account deletion through our support channels. Note that upon termination (by you or by us), the following provisions of these Terms will remain in effect: Intellectual Property (Section 5), Liability Disclaimer (Section 7), Governing Law & Dispute Resolution (Section 10), and any other provisions that by their nature should survive termination.
These Terms of Service and any disputes arising out of or relating to the platform or these Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree that any legal action or proceeding concerning these Terms or Ingenium Courses shall be brought in the federal or provincial courts located in the Province of British Columbia. By using the platform, you expressly consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts and waive any objections (such as inconvenient forum) to such jurisdiction or venue.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be deemed severable from the Terms and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
Dispute Resolution: We encourage you to contact us first to seek an informal resolution of any concern. Many disputes can be resolved quickly and to the customer’s satisfaction by reaching out to our support team. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, and unless otherwise required by law, you and ScottHYoung.com Services Ltd. agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia as noted above. (If desired or where applicable, alternative dispute resolution methods such as arbitration or mediation may be explored, but such processes will be mutually agreed upon by the parties in writing.)
